This is a hand drawn Valentine’s Day card. I used the saying ‘Be Mine’ to create a playful pun by incorporating bee’s into the illustration. The combination of the saying and the illustration creates a lighthearted Valentine’s Day Card.
For this project I drew inspiration of Greek myths to create a poster for a festival. I focused on the linear forms of the illustration and incorporated this into the custom typeface I made for the festival.
This project is based on the publication Wrap Magazine, in which the reader can use the spread design as wrapping paper. I created a typographic pattern, that was inspired by alchemy and the symbolism alchemist used. I paired this illustration with a short history of alchemy and explanation of the design.
I was able to create a new product. I decided to create a craft beer called Tall Tales. The type of beer is called Paul Bunyan’s Tale American Pale Ale. I revolved the theme of this beer around the American Frontier by using traditional American color scheme, and folklore that has been passed down since 1900’s.
This project I created a mini magazine called a zine. The main inspiration came from the story of “The Two Wolves”, in which there is a good wolf and a bad wolf. I emphasize this theme by the illustrations I created, as well as the color. I also allow the reader to be interact with the zine. On some pages the reader can pull the paper to reveal an illustration.
This hand drawn typographic print made for a poster exhibit, that was shown in a local gallery in Blacksburg, VA. I wanted the beautiful tropical flowers to contrast the quote. The illustration shows the meaning of the quote, in which a person’s happiness is based on their ignorance of their problems.
I collaborated with two other designers to create a new version of Atlas. Atlas is an interface that technicians use to place an order for parts they need while in the field. Through both interfaces we did multiple rounds of usability testing which lead to our final design. Our group designed two platforms meant for an Ipad and Iphone. I focused on the layouts which incorporate the same elements so it makes a fluid transition from both platforms.
For our class we produced a post card that was exchanged with the entire class. I created mine by carving a linoleum block and printing it on multiple color papers.
This seasonal greeting card was created for friends and family. I used multiple materials and skills to create this card, a few being; calligraphy, ink and gouache. I also used a fall color scheme and fall flowers to create a cohesive Autumn look.

For this packaging project I wanted to create a project that had an Asian tea brand that was both classic
and modern. I accomplished this by using traditional materials such as watercolor and ink. The packaging I chose to apply it on was porcelain containers and wooden tops to create an earthy and coherent look. The logo is hand drawn and has two dragons protecting a shield. This logo was meant to reflect the overall theme of the design.
This restaurant branding was a group project. Our group decided to create a high end steakhouse. I produced the wine packaging and labels. I also made the pattern that was used continuously throughout the brand to create the united look.
